Do Mortgage Modifications Hurt Credit Scores?

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

www.cambridge-credit.org — In 2009, more than two million homes were lost to foreclosure, short sales, or deeds in lieu of foreclosure. Many experts agree that 2010 will see an increase in such activities because of our sluggish economic recovery. Experts are currently estimating that approximately 2.4 million more homes will be lost over the next year despite the measures created by the administration to avoid such outcomes. What has surprised many is the impact mortgage modifications have had on credit scores. Although new measures have been established to protect individuals credit scores, the changes may not help in the long run. Join Thomas Fox has discusses how mortgage modifications can potentially lower your score and what measures you can take if they do.

Several decades ago, Fair Isaac and Company (FICO) revolutionized the credit rating system with the introduction of their FICO Score a three-digit number representing an individuals creditworthiness. In 2007, FICO began the process of overhauling its scoring model to better predict the risk represented by consumers. Roughly two years later, FICO 08 was released. How do you process a Ch. 7 bankruptcy without a 60 day counselling , due to no income to counsel about?

Monday, May 17th, 2010

I am researching bankruptcy via WIKI HOW, but am confused about processing it without the counseling of a credit counselor. I have had no income to counsel about. Can anyone with bankruptcy legal experience explain this (in the USA).
Dark Green Money: If I was a horse in AZ , I would hide in the barn on Sunday and go out on Monday, although it does get very hot there.
