Personal Loans

Getting a personal loan can be fairly easy to get. It actually can be easier to get then you may expect.
You can even get a personal loan with bad credit generally. However, If you do have a bad credit score.
You will most likely have to pay higher interest rates on your personal loan.
There are two forms of Personal loans you will want to know about before you head to your local bank or credit union.
One type of personal loan is an unsecured loan.
An unsecured loan is a loan that simply means you don’t have to have any collateral required to get a loan. One of the main factors to get one of these types of loans is having a great credit score.
Another type of personal loan is the secured loan.
A secured loan is a loan where you have to offer collateral of equal or higher value of the over all balance due for loan you are applying for.
If you have bad credit and want to re-establish good credit. Try this advice if possible.
1. Save up $500.00- $1,000.00
2. Have the money already in a savings account.
3. Make an appointment with your bank to apply for a small personal loan.
4. Apply for a secured loan and ask the loan officer if they can freeze your savings account. (lock in the amount of money that your loan will be for)
Example, You are applying for a $750.00 personal secure loan, Have them freeze $800.00 of your $1,000.00.
By doing this you are using that $800.00 as collateral. And the bank is guaranteed their money no matter what. Most banks and credit unions will do this.
After all the purpose of this type of loan is not to buy a new kitchen table or that mountain bike you saw at the local sports shop. The purpose it to rebuild your credit.
This tactic also works great if you have No credit.
Some credit unions will even let you get loans for as little as $200.00.
Don’t be afraid to ask your bank or credit union what their minimum personal loan amount is. Tell them your idea and see what they say.
Most will have no problem helping you with establishing your credit. But like always, not all banks and credit unions are the same.
Stay away from loans offered on line. Even tho there are some legit offers out there you should always go in person.
After all face to face can help alot when talking payment terms and fees.
